From the Dam to the Frying Pan

The gentle waves of Lake Malilangwe are home to hippos, crocodiles, terrapins and monitor lizards, as well as a variety of fish and water birds. During the summer months, elephant breeding herds regularly swim at the top end of the lake and guests at Singita Pamushana Lodge enjoy the open water during regular sunset cruises. Another activity that provides hours of entertainment for visitors to this beautiful little corner of Zimbabwe, is a fun afternoon of fishing.

Sleeping Under the Stars at Singita Pamushana Lodge

Anyone who has been on safari knows the indescribable connection with nature that being in the African bush can give you. Proximity with the animals, exposure to the elements and the awakening of all your senses make for a thrilling adventure unlike any other. This unique experience is even more special if it includes a night spent under a canopy of stars.

Safari R&R: The Spa at Singita Kruger National Park

An important part of the Singita experience is finding connection; with nature, with people, with yourself. The natural beauty that surrounds each lodge and its warm, accommodating staff make the first two easy, and the third could be as simple as spending a few hours at the Singita spa.

Top 5 Wildlife Photography Tips from our Field Guides

Traveling to a new destination often sparks an interest in how to capture your memories best. The challenge begins before you even arrive at the lodge, as you will most likely spot birds and wildlife as you drive through the bush – don’t be surprised to see a few members of the Big 5 either! To ensure that you don’t miss any opportunities for the perfect shot, our field guides have compiled their five best tips to help you capture those magical moments:

Landing Strip Surprise at Singita Sabi Sand

One of the first things that visitors see when they come in to land at Singita Sabi Sand is the thatched boma that serves as a rustic, safari-style airport terminal. Alongside this small building, guests will usually find the welcoming committee of their field guide and tracker, a table of refreshments and the waiting game viewing vehicle. Visitors arriving at the concession last week were in for an extra treat however; one of the resident leopards was snoozing in the boma!
