The Laikipia Plateau is one of the most important areas for biodiversity in Kenya with abundant and diverse wildlife. The area comprises a collection of community ranches and wildlife conservancies set against the backdrop of Mount Kenya and hosts the highest populations of endangered species in the country, namely the Grevy's zebra and white and black rhino.
