Golden Beaches & Crystal Clear Waters
Lake Malawi

Although totally landlocked, Malawi has been blessed with a vast ‘inland sea’ fringed by beaches of golden sand lapped by crystal clear waters. The northern part of the lake is 700 metres deep, plunging well below sea level and reflecting the enormity of the Great Rift Valley's natural faults. Fishing villages are scattered along the shore and are an attraction to visitors. Kayaking, sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving and water skiing are just some of the lake activities available to visitors.
