“We have had three safaris that were all handled by AtoA and the experiences we had, from flights to pick-up service to rooms to the right seasons, were always extraordinary. During our safari this year, we were able to see so much game in many unique situations. It’s difficult to even pick a top moment from this trip.
“We had a wonderful time! Tanzania is beautiful! The landscape and surroundings of the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti are just breathtaking! In this safari, we were happy to see the wildebeest crossing and double crossing at the Mara River! Also first time for us to see four cheetahs and their kill of a scrub hare which was awesome! We also saw cubs of cheetah, leopard, lion, buffalo, jackal, elephant, hyaena etc. Also saw a black rhino and serval! All the four camps/suites are charming and each camp offers a different landscape, design, look and feel.
“Our safari was really breath-taking, astounding. No words really to describe how beautiful the experience was!!! We came so close to so many animals I felt I was in the middle of Lion King! Rem was an excellent guide, he really took care of me and Paul. The tent was really very nice, comfortable, and with ‘real’s luxuries (warm water bottle great idea!) The food was really good. The attention to detail was superb. Really top-notch service – everyone in the Nomad Tanzania team seemed very competent and at the ‘top of their game’.

We saw lots at all three parks – many big cats including two leopards, and were blessed to witness three river crossings in two days. Accommodation was very good throughout; the guiding and meals at Lamai Serengeti were exceptional. We visited Stone Town in Zanzibar on Eid al-Fitr and saw people dancing and celebrating in the streets. Thanks again warmly for your help! “Our overall experience far exceeded our expectations and our safari was spectacular We had not expected to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River as we knew we were early in the ‘season’ but nature decided to bring it forward. It was a spectacle nonetheless but very emotional to witness nature at perhaps its cruelest – we saw a number of scenes that would not be seen on documentaries. On a lighter note we did see three of the “seven natural wonders of Africa” during our 10-day safari. We particularly wanted to see hyenas and vultures and saw a lifetime’s number of the latter.
“This African safari was truly a magnificently magical holiday. I felt I was in the movie Lion King or Madagascar. The animals were as beautiful in the wild as they were in the movies. The knowledge of the guides made it very interesting and the safety provided was very reassuring. There was never a dull moment in Serengeti and the Mara.”
