Botswana

We just got back from a fantastic trip, really the trip of a lifetime, to three camps in Botswana (in the Okevanga delta and the Kalahari), as well as to Vic Falls. This truly excellent trip (in terms of choice of lodging, camp experience, and sequence of experiences) was put together by Nicole at A2A. She did an amazing job of anticipating what we would like, after talking with me over several conversations. She also worked with us on managing the budget in any way she could. She added a 'surprise' at a couple of our stops that made the trip even more memorable!

To say we had an incredible experience on our trip to Africa would be an extreme understatement. It was truly a trip of a lifetime for us! We decided last minute to do our Honeymoon in Africa and had zero clue where to even start. Luckily, as we were talking to a friend about wanting to go, we were referred to Nicole and her Team at A2A Safaris. I don’t know how she did it, but Nicole was able to pull together the most fabulous itinerary in such a short amount of time.

I just got back from a life changing trip to Botswana and South Africa and I wanted to express my gratitude for Nicole Fernandez!  

I was there with my friends celebrating Corey Palent’s 40th bday that was in the works for months!  Nicole was there every step of the way easing my concerns and was available literally 24/7!  She answered texts and calls promptly and was always cheerful!  She even looked at pictures of my duffle bag to make sure it was the right size and never made me feel dumb for asking questions or scrambling last minute.  

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience in Bostwana and Cape Town.  Nicole @ A2A Safaris managed every detail flawlessly.

Wow! What an amazing adventure. We are eternally grateful to Nicole Fernandez for planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us. She is not just our "travel agent", she is our new best friend! I can't say enough about Nicole's knowledge, professionalism and detail-oriented planning. She had the best recommendations and tips and walked us through every stage of the planning and traveling. We are saving our money so she can plan another trip for us. Thank you so much Nicole! Much love and many hugs from Texas!

It’s been a decade since I first heard about the Makadagadi salt pans in Botswana and I’ve been trying to get there ever since. When I finally made it there this week, the wide open sky, and never ending views were even more breathtaking then I had imagined. And the African tent chic of San Camp felt like my own desert oasis.

"The Charmed Forest"

There is magic in the forests of Africa.
It dances in the fiery heavens, upon the setting sun;
It tiptoes around the delicate purple petals of the veronia,
Nimbly dodging bolts of lightning once the rain has begun.

It sings with frogs in the Linyanti river, near the flowers;
It illuminates thin blades of finger grass in the black night;
It climbs up the brush and scales the trees that tower
Over the Little Bee-Eater, hidden in plain sight.

Dear Nicole, Thank you so much for this wonderful experience we just had at Savuti in Botswana.  We loved every minute of it. The rooms were great, the food delicious, the staff very caring and all that nature - the carpet of stars in the sky when you go for breakfast in the early hours of the day, the vastness of the plains, the sunsets, the animals - the shy and not-so shy ones - aah it was just amazing.  You just marvel at God’s creation and how big this world is.
